The Greenwood Promise

Greenwood School District 50

Applicant Release of Information

The Greenwood Promise is a promise that every student, who graduates from a Greenwood County public/private/accredited homeschool, has the opportunity to enroll at Piedmont Technical College and receive at least an associate degree or Certificate. The scholarship is "last dollar" and will pay remaining tuition and fees after State and Federal scholarships and grants beginning with the June 2017 graduating class.

The scholarship award is based on a sliding scale of years of residence in Greenwood County. The program is designed to provide maximum benefit to long-term Greenwood County residents. A desired outcome of the program will be to encourage families to make early decisions to live in Greenwood County, to enroll their children in Greenwood County schools, and to maintain that enrollment through graduation.

This form must be submitted before your child can become eligible for consideration for The Greenwood Promise. If you have questions regarding The Greenwood Promise, please contact your child's school counselor.
