 I'm often searching online documentation for answers to commands, configurations, and error messages. I figured that since I spend most of my working time with the terminal, git, and text files, a more efficient and easier method of documenting the time I spend reading other documentation would be to build my own TIL. This way the information I learn will be easy to record, search and edit. The problem is that I've found myself repeating those searches because of the breadth and depth of the amount of functions and libraries involved in development. My wife suggested I call it TIHIDI 'this is how I did it' after explaining what I was working on. It makes sense to use a static documentation instead of database because it's quicker, easier to search, under version control, and the file formats are interoperable with other software and publishing frameworks.

It really bothers me for anything to take away my attention. In this case, I was trying to keep my Apple TV home screen clean so I don't have to see or surf through offers of other stuff to watch.  I curate an 'up next' list and I usually make notes that sync between my devices when someone mentions a movie or show. I usually handle this with 'quick Notes' that sync between devices. That mostly works, but the problem I'd like to have them all in one place so that I can archive and search what I've already watched much the same way I database my music listening habits. This will give me a simple searchable place to store it all without any complex APIs, databases, or whatnot. It's a work in progress :sweat_smile:.

 I’m happy to be coaching the Emerald High School Tennis teams. Even though I have a lot of tennis experience, I am relatively new to coaching. In 2022, I was asked to be assistant coach by the previous coach and the athletic director at Emerald asked me if I’d be interested in becoming head coach in 2022. I work as an independent software and web developer so my schedule is gracious enough to allow me to coach and play tennis. I’ve found great rewards from watching the kids learn and grow. I grew up in Columbia and played a lot of tennis as a junior becoming all-region in high school and state-ranked. I had some really good coaches as a junior and a scholarship to play tennis at Lander. At the time, I told my parents that ‘I didn’t want to live in Greenwood’, so it’s funny how things work out. I started back playing tennis about six years ago for the health benefits. Tennis is a very rewarding and demanding sport both physically and mentally. My approach is that I want them to grow as players who are able to have fun in the process. Ginny, my wife, also plays tennis and will be my assistant coach. She is the director of Special Education for Greenwood District 50. Ginny previously worked as the lead psychologist for the district and had an office at Emerald for many years.

 I added a multi-track setup a new microphone this week that'll allow me to record each channel separately and then polish them down in Audition. I also figured out how to use a new VOIP application ( Murmur/Mumble ) so that I don't have to pipe your audio in via a phone call or other application. This will give me very high-quality audio from your microphones with low latency. It'll also give spacial audio to each microphone so that one is on the left, the right and the center. I'll need to show you how to install and connect to my VOIP server. It'll also free up my line to call other guests. I'd like to test this out with y'all live sometime in the next week so y'all are pumped about it before LEAF.

 I'm just glad that it's still evolving and to be contributing financially to the WordPress ecosystem with the migrations. For most small businesses building a website, this will cut it. If they're using .com as a host, then the form builders, mailing list, and e-commerce features easily outshine the competition. For a some larger clients with more feature requests, I do think that the only way to get around some of issues, is with custom development. For now, I've got some upcoming projects migrating older WordPress sites to use the block editor and I should be learning a lot more in the coming months. I'll try to note those here and on my WP related sites<sub>5,6</sub>. We had the _Class Clown_ album in our house growing up and I think I first paid attention to it in about fifth or sixth grade likely just because I liked the album title. Seven dirty words wasn't exactly suited for kids in elementary school, but it was pretty enlightening and I kept the album in my room from then on. The only comedy album I think I played more often was Steven Wright's _I Have a Pony_ <sub>6</sub>. This was all right about the time of the Iran Contra affair.  It's a mature Carlin and I like how he emphasizes when talking about politics that the key is laughing at ourselves and squarely places the target on the 'we' as a group. So I think it's kinda a 'self-punch' versus a 'punch-up' or down.  In that regard, both Aristotle and Plato were right with opposing views. Carlin saying "I don't like political jokes" is like George Bernard Shaw saying "My way of joking is, to tell the truth".  I use the 'punch-up approach' enough so that it might be called a David and Goliath complex. I try to accompany it with plenty of self-deprecation, but I prefer it when the punch line is about ourselves... everyone.
